Hello everyone! I have 2 wishes on my birthday this July: to publish my writings from blog into a book and to grant me an approval for my student’s visa going to Toronto, Canada.
My first wish is to publish my blog writings from wordpress to the book. The reason that I want to publish it because I want to share my writings and life’s experiences for those people who don’t have internet at home. I also share to the students in different schools and universities to encourage or enhance their Christian faith. I imitate those famous authors such as John Maxwell, Norman Vincent Peale, Balanga Bishop Socrates Villegas, Wilma Cruz-Tapalla, Jack Canfield of the Chicken Soup of the Soul, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen and more. I always pray to the Lord that I want to be a successful blog writer and a book writer, too!
My second wish is to grant my student’s visa going to Toronto, Canada. I started to submit initial documents such as Philippine Passport, transcript and diploma from the University of Perpetual Help Rizal, Birth Certificate, and the letter of acceptance from the Academy of Learning. I will submit later the N.B.I. Clearance and 3 pieces of 35 mm X 45 mm (1 3/8″ X 1 3/4″) photos required by the Embassy of Canada in Manila.
I was twice denied by the Embassy of Canada to grant me 2 visas: the permanent resident visa and temporary resident visa.
First, my parents applied to me a permanent resident visa as a dependent child when I was 24. Then, I received a letter from Canadian Embassy found out I was no longer a dependent child and “overage.” So my parents filed me a separate application for permanent resident visa to Canada.
And second, they applied to me a temporary resident visa as a tourist to visit my godmother to play a piano for her 60th birthday. Then, I received a letter from the Canadian Embassy and found out that the Canadian Visa officer was not satisfied due to the following reasons: no definite day on previous stay; travel history; immigration status; family ties in Canada; purpose of visit; limited employment prospects; current employment situation and personal assets and financial status.
I am disheartening still that the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2002 which was behind to suppress me not to enter the Canadian soil! The IRPA was amended by the Canadian legislators at the House of Commons in 2002.
I always read those two letters and cried rivers that my emotions and moral are affected. I suffered physical separation because my parents left to Canada on May 8, 2008.
I ended selling meat processed business last April due to unstoppable skyrocketing of world’s crude, economic and financial woes, pesky customers at the Ayala Alabang Village who refused me to buy my products every Saturday and my savings at the bank are insufficient to buy stocks. I feared that I am losing my funds in the bank now especially the salary of my family’s maid.
I attended the fiesta mass at the National Shrine of Our Mother Perpetual Help in Baclaran, Paranaque. I asked Mother Mary to help me to lift up prayers and answer it by God. That shrine is really miraculous and flocked by such pilgrims in different provinces to attend the Novena, mass, and Eucharistic Benediction every Wednesday. My dear Mother of Perpetual Help, please help me.
I would like to thank Mr. Vernon Tapalla, my great mentor and inspiration at Communications Specialists (CS). My fond memories at CS that you taught me to speak fluently and write grammar in English ten glorious years ago. Now I am a regular inspirational blog writer here at wordpress.com. Sir, I love you!
I hope my two birthday wishes will be granted this year. Lord Jesus, make me happy this wonderful 31st birthday. Amen!
